UL in Argentina
UL de Argentina S.R.L. is accredited by the Organismo Argentino de Acreditación (OAA), which is the National Certification Body of Argentina for Personal Protection Equipment, Resources and Elements. This certification is established under Resolution 896/99, issued by ex SICyM (Secretaría de Industria, Comercio y Minería), the Argentinian Secretary of Industry, Trade and Mining.
UL de Argentina S.R.L. is organized as a Limited Liability Company of Underwriters Laboratories Holdings B.V. and UL L.L.C under the laws of the Republic of Argentina.
Legislation related to PPE certification: Resolution ex SICyM No. 896/1999 and subsequent legislation.
Entities responsible for products may opt for the Batch Certification or Mark of Conformity (Resolution NO. 197/2004).
Each product must display on each of its units, packages or marks the safety symbol provided by Resolution ex SICyM No. 799/99 together with the UL-AR Mark.
System number seven (Batch Certification): Includes a batch test that shall be performed on representative samples taken from each batch manufactured or imported.
